The coronavirus pandemic has made the summer transfer window uncertain, but here are the rumours floating around Europe’s big leagues and beyond.
Onana dilemma for Barcelona?
While Onana has been heavily tipped to make his way over to the Nou Camp in order to compete with Marc-Andre ter Stegen for the No. 1 spot, the Spanish giants have a series of youngsters rising up through the ranks that may make the potential Onana deal redundant.
Inaki Pena is at the front of Barca’s prospects queue as the future of Onana continues to be a great source of speculation.
AC Milan want Kamara
The 20-year-old is widely considered to be one of the slickest defenders in European football, with Milan following his progress closely.
While Marseille had been hoping to receive a large chunk of cash for Kamara, their financial troubles may force their hand — opening the door for Milan to get themselves a bargain.
Luiz reiterates Benfica return desire
Luiz, who got his first big break with the Portuguese club prior to joining Chelsea, spoke in a recent interview about his love for Benfica and how badly he wants to return one day.
“I always said that I would like to end my career at Benfica,” he was quoted in the Daily Star. “In football everything changes, what is true today, tomorrow is a lie, but my feeling is not!”
This may not be music to the ears of Mikel Arteta, but you can’t accuse the Brazilian of lying.
– West Ham United have entered the race to sign Amiens star Serhou Guirassy, the Daily Star reports. The forward, who has scored nine goals in 23 appearances so far this season, has been attracting the attention of many top European clubs — and now, Amiens’ president has noted that the Hammers are in the mix.
– West Ham are also hoping to sign youngster Benicio Baker-Boaitey to a professional contract in January, the Daily Mail reports. The 16-year-old has received interest from the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona, Liverpool and Bayern Munich to name a few, but the Londoners will do everything in their power to ensure he stays on their books.
