‘Office Hours with Nina’ on the CARES Act

Nina Ozlu Tunceli, Chief Counsel of Government and Public Affairs at Americans for the Arts and Executive Director of the Arts Action Fund, has set up daily office hours on Zoom to help artists and arts leaders navigate the complex web of relief measures in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Join Nina on a drop-in basis Monday through Friday between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. ET to ask questions—whether broad or specific to your situation—about funding opportunities and deadlines related to the $3.2 trillion federal aid package. Nina also wants to hear from you about your experience in filing applications with the Small Business Administration (SBA), state unemployment offices, banks, and others to help inform your colleagues nationwide, develop FAQs, and build an advocacy case for future advocacy.

For 25 years, Nina has served as the chief policy strategist for Americans for the Arts’ federal, state, and local public affairs work, grassroots advocacy campaigns, policy development, and national coalition-building efforts with cultural and civic organizations to advance the arts in America. In 2004, she also became the executive director of the Americans for the Arts Action Fund, a separate 501(c)(4) organization with a connected Political Action Committee—the only dedicated arts PAC in the country. Nina now mobilizes the political and legislative efforts of more than 365,000 citizen activists in advancing arts policy issues to legislators and candidates seeking federal public office. She is a graduate of George Washington University and the University of Richmond School of Law.
