Americans for the Arts to Convene 550+ Arts Marketers in Miami for Annual National Arts Marketing Project Conference


Americans for the Arts and The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs will host the annual National Arts Marketing Project (NAMP) Conference at The InterContinental Miami Hotel in Miami, Florida, on November 15-18, 2019. The largest gathering of arts marketers in the country, the conference is a critical forum for arts marketers to discuss the newest and most important marketing tools, the rapidly shifting demographics and behaviors of consumers, as well as how arts and culture organizations can best remain relevant in a time of flux and uncertainty.

More than 100 marketing experts will lead 35+ sessions on topics such as digital marketing, cultural equity, audience engagement, social media, analytics, storytelling, and growing revenue. The conference also features two preconferences on Friday, November 15, including a discussion on the importance of developing a comprehensive ADA/Accessibility plan, as well as an analysis on the demise of arts journalism in our society’s “fake news” generation.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Carlos Gil, CEO and founder of Gil Media Co.
    November 16, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., in Grand Ballroom
    Gil will explain how to authentically communicate with customers in an increasingly online world. Although it has become easier to reach out to potential customers, this presentation will reinforce the critical relationship between brand and consumer. Following his keynote, Gil will sign copies of his book, The End of Marketing: Humanizing Your Brand in the Age of Social Media and AI, from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in CenterStage.
  • Jeffrey L. Bowman, Founder and Chairman of Reframe
    November 17, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., in Grand Ballroom
    Bowman will share his insights on how to accelerate new marketplace growth while increasing productivity and employee retention. Following his keynote, Bowman will sign copies of his book, Reframe the Marketplace: The Total Market Approach to Reaching the New Majority, from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in CenterStage.
  • Laurie Woolery, Director of Public Works, The Public Works
    November 18, 10:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., in Grand Ballroom
    Woolery will close the conference with a keynote sharing her journey on building unified cities through longitudinal community partnerships and the bounty of collaboration.
